Research and development help farmers and entrepreneurs with the tools and knowledge that drives innovations to increase productivity, enhance climate resilience, improve sustainability, and ultimately raise their incomes and quality of life. Many Sri Lankan enterprises especially the micro and small entities operate without adequate information when making critical decisions. This is due to lack of information, out-dated industry standards (compliance), restricted access or not knowing where to find the required information.
This pillar focuses on researching, collating and documenting critical yet absent or scattered data into one easy to access repository, and active consultation and advocacy with industry leaders and governing bodies to update compliance policies.
